Daniel was the first staff person to commit to the Church of the Beloved network. He graduated from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia and is currently completing his Master's degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL. Daniel has ministered to youth, college, and young adults in Virginia, California, Florida, and now Chicago. He has a heart for shepherding, sharing the gospel, and worshiping with his congregation. In October 2015, Daniel moved from the role of Interim Lead Pastor of the COTB-Near West location to Lead Pastor, and he is excited to see what God has in store for the church.
Daniel married his wife, Kate, in September 2015. Together they enjoy spending time with friends, traveling to visit family, finding good Chicago restaurants, and beating each other in card games. Please pray that God will continue to strengthen their new marriage as they serve the church together.
Mike was one of the original church plant members of Church of the Beloved and remembers when the core team used to have meetings in his apartment before public services were launched in early 2012. After receiving Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Ohio State University, he moved to Chicago (where he was born) in 2005 to pursue his Master of Divinity degree at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, which he completed in 2010. Mike loves to worship God with all of his heart and desires to see Jesus lifted up in his hometown so that all men and women would know the sweet love of God.
In his free time, he enjoys hanging out with his boys, Noah and Jonah. They are precious gifts from God and they teach Mike so much about the love of God. His prayer as a dad is to return the favor.
