There are many opportunities for fellowship and community at Church of the Beloved! Please consider some of these opportunities below
We would love to get to know you more at our Newcomer’s Dinner! These happen once a month and are great opportunities to get connected to our community whether you’re a first timer or been attending for a while!
Our next Newcomers Dinner is on UPDATE DYNAMICALLY. Meet us in front of the church after service (look for our sign!) and we’ll walk to a nearby restaurant together.
We believe that becoming a member of a local church body is biblical. It is a commitment to a group of people – to hear God’s word preached together, to perform the ordinances Jesus gave to the church together, to love/exhort/admonish the body together. Above all, it is a commitment not only to receive, but to use your unique giftings to serve the body.
(Hebrews 13:17; 1 Corinthians 5:1-13; 1 Corinthians 12)
How do I become a member?
We want to walk with you as you consider becoming a member of our church! Because of that, we have a seven-week membership process that begins with an overnight retreat, followed by six classes. During this time, we want to help you build community with other members of our church, understand our theology, and get you on board with the history and direction of our church.
Our next membership class runs from February 2 – March 24. Find more information and register here: http://bit.ly/2zaNUOK
Contact Lauren Keys (email@example.com) with any questions.
Our small groups meet weekly to study the Bible, discuss the sermon, pray for one another, and reach our communities with the love of Christ. They are places where we can carry each other’s burdens and celebrate each other’s joys as if they were our own. We desire for our small groups to be outward-facing communities seeking to welcome all with the love of Christ.
We’d love for you to join a small group, as it is a life-giving space to grow alongside the whole church. Our small groups meet throughout the city and we encourage you to join one close to your home or workplace. We currently have small groups in the following neighborhoods:
South Loop Campus:
South Loop 1
South Loop 2
If you’d like to join a small group, our Director of Church Life, Lauren Keys (firstname.lastname@example.org) would love to connect you!
Our church-wide events provide opportunities for fellowshipping and outreach. All are invited to attend! Please join our Facebook group to hear about upcoming events (link at the bottom of this page)
